1L–100L Laboratory Rotary Evaporator with Dual Condenser
TOPTION supplies laboratory rotary evaporators for solvent evaporation, concentration, ethanol recovery, and sample preparation. Include 1L, 2L, 3L, 5L, 10L, 20L, 30L, 50L, and 100L, with custom configurations available upon technical review. Each system can be matched with a recirculating chiller, vacuum pump, and vacuum controller to meet different laboratory and pilot-scale evaporation requirements.
Rotary Evaporators are a common equipment for evaporation and separation of solvents. Its basic principle is to use the heating effect under a vacuum environment to evaporate the liquid solvent quickly and collect the evaporated solvent back to the liquid state through the condenser.
1. the liquid solvent is placed in a round-bottomed flask, and then a vacuum environment is established in the rotary evaporator by means of a vacuum pump unit.
2. the rotary evaporator heats the sample flask so that the solvent therein begins to evaporate.
3. The evaporated solvent vapors diffuse rapidly in the vacuum environment and enter the attached condenser.
4. Inside the condenser, the vapors are condensed to a liquid state by a cooling medium and the liquid solvent is collected back into the condenser.
5. As a result of this process, the solvent is evaporated and separated, while the residual sample remains in the flask.
In this way, the rotary evaporator effectively realizes the rapid evaporation and separation of liquid solvents and is one of the common and important equipment in chemical laboratories.
TOPTION's 1L–100L laboratory rotary evaporators are designed for efficient solvent removal, ethanol recovery, concentration, and purification workflows. The dual-condenser configuration increases condensation area and collection capacity, helping reduce solvent loss during vacuum evaporation. Working Principle
A rotary evaporator consists of a vacuum system, a heating bath, a condenser, and a rotating flask. The solvent or mixture to be separated is added to the flask and rotated in a heating bath. The vacuum system creates a low-pressure environment that allows the solvent or mixture to evaporate. The vapor then enters a condenser, where it is cooled and liquefied.
